We have daily fitness classes and monthly activities like yoga, kayaking, hiking, camping, etc.  Anything to spice up your daily dog walks so that you can bond with your best furry friend and get a great workout.   Jack is our Cairn Terrier mascot who will keep you updated on all of the fun events that he has coming up and show you photos of the ones that we already had.  We plan on doing a lot of communication through this blog so please visit often and feel free to leave your comments.

Have you heard?  Mommy and I are going on a ROAD TRIP and we are calling it Jacks Journey USA ! We want to show all of America how you can do more with your dog than take Fido for a walk! We are going to be Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUPing) with our inflatable ISLE SUP and our fashionable Kurgo Dog Life Jacket, hiking, trail running, kayaking and of course doing Dog Yoga and Fitness Classes! Today’s Move It Monday Challenge is the Bird Dog, an exercise that challenges your core, upper back, shoulders, and glutes – and even has a name to fit working out with our dogs!  These really help with posture and balance too! To do these, start in a tabletop position, with your hips above your knees and hands below your shoulders.  If you have wrist pain you can start from your forearms instead of your hands.  Slowly raise your RIGHT ARM up to shoulder height, and your LEFT LEG up to hip height at the same time.  Hold for 1 count and lower.

Multi-directional jumps

A great lower body and ankle-strengthening exercise you can do on your dog walk is multi-directional jumps!  They also get your heart pumping and keep your muscles guessing by moving in several directions.  Our Leash Your Fitness runners are VERY familiar with these since we need to keep our balance and agility for the trails!  Fido should stay in a sit while you are jumping (great obedience practice for them!).  When you’re done with your jumps, they can do theirs!  Here’s how to do these:  Imagine a plus sign (+) on the ground, or draw one in the dirt with your
