It was sad to leave Grant Lake. It was such a perfect place to camp but it was time to move on. We love adventuring out on hikes when we are visiting new areas and our friend told us about a really cool hike that was super close to us and not too hard. I am getting older so we have to find shorter hikes. Gone are the days where we would venture out for an all day hike. But we will take what we can and the good news is, I am small enough that mommy can carry me!

Our friend Stephanie came over to get us from Grant Lake and took us to the really cool lake next door. It was called Silver Lake and it was surrounded by the mountains. It was so pretty paddling around the entire lake. It wasn’t very big… We paddled to the back of the lake and there was grass in the water! Mommy was getting antsy since she hadn’t been anywhere since June so as soon as Labor Day passed and the kids were back in school, we were OFF in our RV on a road trip to the June Lake Loop near Mammoth, CA. We left San Diego very early on a Wednesday morning. The drive was pretty quick. We stopped at the Lone Pine visitor center where 2 years ago we stopped and then ended up taking a detour up Mt Whitney (as far as dogs are allowed!). It is always so hard to leave our awesome campsites especially when we are camped near super cool people but it was time to move on from Prescott and start swimming again! We stopped and fueled up and then off to Bartlett we went. Man! We couldn’t believe the difference in the water levels. What was part of the lake last year, we camped on! It was really sad leaving Lake Pleasant, we had such a killer spot on the water but we knew the weekend craziness was about to begin so we headed north to Prescott. Mommy hadn’t been there in years and decided to go check it out. She texted Daddy’s brother, Pat, and he invited us to stay at their home. It was super fun visiting with them and their Cattle Dog, Bob and meeting their new 3 month old puppy, Kate…. We headed out the next morning to check out the town. We stopped and got some groceries
