Jack and I took the day off and went hiking! It was a very foggy morning as we started early but it cleared up to be a beautiful day. We began at the Blue Sky trail head in Poway and hiked to the top of Mt. Woodson. It was an 11 mile round-trip hike with a lot of climbing, picture taking, and swimming. 19 people, 24 dogs, 13 tents, yummy food, amazing hikes, fun games, cool prizes and even a doggy fashion show. Camping Leash Your Fitness style. What an amazing time we had in the local Laguna Mountains. The weather was PERFECT for hiking for us dogs. After our Saturday hike, Arden Moore led us though doggy trivia, musical hula hoops and the water game. Then we gave more prizes for the best dog trick. (my tricks didn’t count even though I was really performing!) We even had a doggy fashion show so the dogs could show off all of their cool
Read more →This weekend was the last hike of the season as it is getting a little too warm to be on the trails for us dogs AND the snakes are coming out of hibernation. We will end the season with a fun camping trip for our Leash Your Fitness family and then the water sports will begin! Kayaking, surfing, and swimming! Can’t wait! The Mission Trails hike was a lot of fun! The flowers were coming to a close, the sun was out and us gogs got really dirty! All in all–it was a great hike. We had some new dogs
Read more →Tonight the Leash Your Fitness gang hiked to the top of Mt. Woodson to see the biggest full moon in the last 20 years! We got an early start so it would still be daylight when we got to the top so that we could climb on the big rocks! Nobody was really into climbing around like mommy and I are! Read more →Today the Leash Your Fitness gang hiked Iron Mountain and it was really cool because we got to see all of the snow on the mountains in the distance! There was even a little snow on Iron Mountain and somebody built a little snow man! The best part is there was a lot of water flowing because of the storm last night so we got REALLY muddy!! We had a fun group join us and even little Bear Man and Andy hiked the whole 6 miles! It was a lot of fun! We hope to see you on next months
