Camping with your dog can be so much fun. The Leash Your Fitness 5th annual camping trip proved that! We had 25 people and 24 dogs in Idyllwild, CA for a weekend full of hiking, playing, eating and even some shopping! The weekend began on Friday, slowly everyone arrived at camp. Last nights Full Moon Hike up Black Mountain in San Diego was so much fun!! We began the hike at 7:10 p.m. and got to see the sunset on the way up the mountain. It was a BEAUTIFUL night and we were hiking above the fog. Half way up the mountain we stopped at Night Hawk Trail to re-group and we heard a “buzzing” noise. Read more →What a BEAUTIFUL day it was! It is February but it felt like June! 19 people & their pups came out this morning for a hike at Sycamore Canyon. We had the trails all to ourselves & it was a fun group! All of us dogs got to romp in the fields & chase a few bunnies–that part was fun! Before we headed back up the hill to the cars, mommy arranged for Ranger Justin to give a little talk about the history of Gooden Ranch and how a very nice family donated it to the city for us to enjoy.
Read more →We had a strong hiking group on our Mission Trails Hike so although it was only our second hike of the year, mommy took them to the TOP of South Fortuna Mountain!! It was a perfect day to go hiking and we had so much fun! Mission Trails is either up or down so it was a good workout for the gals and my dog pals! One person stood out among the crowd, Bobbi Prilaman was in an accident many years ago and now suffers from nerve damage to her leg. She wears a brace and has tried EVERYTHING to combat the pain.
