Today our Leash Your Fitness team of over 30 participants not only raised over $1500. for Canine Companions but they came out to the 4k walk ready to run and walk the beautiful course along the Embarcadero in downtown San Diego! We are so proud of how far some of our runners have come, starting out walking, then walking/ jogging and now our runners were setting the pace for everyone! It was a fun morning for me!! Pet Lounge, an exciting new San Diego-based television show featuring a variety of pets and the people who care for them, will premier April 8 on Cox Cable on channel 4 and Time Warner channel 4 at 9 p.m.. The half-hour show, which airs at 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, will feature multiple segments on a variety of pets and highlight new discoveries in behavior, nutrition, health and science. What other city closes down its main streets to have a Holiday Pet Parade other than San Diego!? I was happy that it was not HOT this year as the dogs were dressed in some pretty creative holiday costumes, I lucked out as my mommy only made me wear a bandana. Some of my doggy friends were not very happy that they looked so silly but others seemed to LOVE all of the attention. A few even got to ride in wagons and take in the sights. Leash Your Fitness is not ALL about getting sweaty!! We like to socialize in “real” clothes too!! We had our 3rd annual Holiday Party complete with Santa Hats!! Everyone brought a yummy dish to share and by the looks of the dessert counter, you would never know that we are a workout group! After dinner and social hour, we donned our Santa hats and did our gift exchange. Everyone was stealing away this year!! I thought fists were going to fly!
