Weight loss challenge finale: the results are in!

Today was our Lose Pounds with Your Hounds final weigh in.  The gals did so well.  The feedback was that they learned a lot from the daily blog posts to keep them moving in a healthy and positive direction now that the competition has ended.  We calculated the percentage lost from the participants and their dogs and also their waist and hip measurements. Congratulations to our winners:  Cela Nash and Lynne Gardner–they won a gift certificate for personal training with Dawn Celapino, a photo shoot with David Veit, pet photograher and dog training classes with Happy Dog Happy Owner.  Together

Humane Society Walk

We are so proud of our Leash Your Fitness walk team! Together they raised nearly $3000.00 for the SD Humane Society and made us one of the top 6 fund raising teams in San Diego.   The team even had a little rivalry within as Deb and Arden battled it out to see who could raise the most! Together, they raised nearly $900.!!  The event at Crown point was really fun with lots of people, dogs, vendors and smiles!  The winner of our FREE 3 LYF classes was JesseTyler, we look forward to seeing Jesse in class! This weekend our Leash Your Fitness team is going to walk for animals in the Humane Society’s Barkin’ Beach Bash.  We will also have a booth at the event so please stop by and say HI!  We wanted to remind you of a few things that you may want to keep in mind when going to a crowded area with your dog, especially one that is full of dogs of all temperaments, breeds and sizes. 1/ Do NOT use a flexi-leash.  Even when these leashes are locked, you do not have as much control over your dog as a regular

Pay It Forward Day

Do you know what “Pay it Forward” means?  It means to do something nice for someone and then they in return do something nice for someone else………..Have you seen the movie or read the book?  It’s about a 12 year old boy who did three good deeds for others in need.  In return, all he asked, was for them to pass on the good deed to three other people and keep the cycle going.  Thursday April 28th is the official Pay It Forward Day and our friend, Surf dog Ricochet is the ambassador.  Leash Your Fitness is honored to join
