Shasta Lake

Shasta Lake

Leaving Bend, OR is always sad for us.  We just love it there, it is our 3rd time.  Check out all of the cool things we did this time around HERE.     We headed down a new road and the trees were sad.  Not sure if they were bare from fire, logging or bugs.       It was a 4 hour drive from Bend to Shasta Lake.  We keep going south to get into nice weather. It is supposed to rain and get cold in Bend.    Since we were going to have a special guest join us,

We got to Bend and I was happy to see my friends again.        Gina and Randy cooked mommy another delicious meal and we camped in their driveway.     Mommy was excited to show Gina Smith Rock State Park.  It is only 18 miles from Gina’s new house and she had never been there!       Of course, mommy took us up the hardest trail. We left the Glacier Parkway and drove south on the 93 to start heading toward home.  Before long we were back in B.C.      We were happy to see this area of the Kootenay National Park on a nice day because when we drove up the 1 through the Glacier and Revelstoke parks, it was smoky.    Plus,  we got to see the Continental Divide.  Mommy let me decide which way we were headed and I picked the Pacific because I miss my daddy!       We drove until we reached Radium Hot Springs.   Mommy was at hot springs

Traveling to Banff

We left Joffre lakes heading toward Duffy lakes to camp but we could not find the campground!  We found a boat dock but no campground so we kept going until we got to Seton Lake.  We were so happy because it was really hot and I wanted to go swimming! We inquired and found out that there was a FREE campground on the other side of the road!  Sweet!     We drove over and got our site complete with a picnic table for mommy to do her stretches and rolling.  We can’t believe how fortunate we have been with
