We were so happy that we woke up in a nice hotel and had a small drive to go hiking but then we couldn’t find a place to hike and swim so 3 hours later we finally found a lake to hike.  It was called Cove Lake and it was at the base of Mt. Magazine–the highest mtn. in Arkansas at a whopping 2,400′! We hung out there for a few hours and then back on the road to Oklahoma where mommy got to visit her old friend Holly and her family.

I got to chase the kitty up the tree one more time before we left the fancy hotel! Day 1–Return to California via Kentucky

Day 1--Return to California via Kentucky

Daddy made us get up at 4 a.m so we could take him to the airport so he could fly home to California and work.  We are going to keep having fun without him –cousin Laura is going to join us now! We made it to PA

We made it to PA

After traveling 3, 453 miles through 12 states and spending $327. on gas–we made it to grandmas house!! I swam for 5 hours in their pool with all of my cousins.  I am lucky–I am the only dog allowed in the pool!  We went to my mommys friends house who lives on a farm and they got to pet all of the animals.  I REALLY wanted to roll in all of the stinky stuff but they are no fun and they wouldn’t let me! Day 12-- Illinois- Indiana

Since we drove so much yesterday we decided to have fun today!  Plus, it was a PERFECT weather day!  We only drove a little ways and mommy found us a park to go to.  It was called Kickapoo State Park.  It had a bunch of  little lakes and cool trails.  So we had our picnic there after we were done then we drove to Turkey Run State Park in Indiana.  Mommy wanted to rent canoes but daddy wanted to paint so mommy and I hiked and swam and daddy did his thing.  Never did see what he did cause we
