Running on the Beach

Ever since our return from Jack’s Journey USA, we like to do fun things each week to keep the adventure going! After all, we live in San Diego! Why not take advantage of all it has to offer.  The weather has been so darn hot that we have been spending a lot of time on our Stand Up Paddleboard (iSUP).

This week we thought we would take our run to the beach!

Mommy and I went to the beach below Powerhouse Park in Del Mar Beach early in the morning so we could experience a super low tide and without the big crowd.  We shared the beach with other walkers and runners and a lot of happy dogs!

After our 4 mile run north to the Del Mar Dog Beach and back, our friend Adele came down and walked with us.  It was so fun having her join us. It is .8 miles from Powerhouse Park south to Torrey Pines State Park where there is a big NO DOGS sign so we had to turn around.  (no dogs are allowed in California State Parks)

We even saw some of our friends down at the beach!

Do you ever take your dog for walks or runs on the beach?  San Diego has 4 off leash dog beaches.  The off leash dog beaches are:  Del Mar, Ocean Beach, Coronado, and Fiesta Island.  Many of the beaches in San Diego  are dog friendly before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. if the dog is on-leash so check with the beach in your area.

It is so beautiful to watch the dolphins and sea lions while enjoying our beautiful beaches! Makes  you forget that you are even exercising!

Let us know what your favorite beach is to take your pup too!! Maybe we don’t know about it and we will go check it out! You know that we love to explore all that San Diego has to offer!

Remember that we have a Dog Yoga and Bonfire at the Bay this Friday. We hope that you can join us for either or BOTH!  More details HERE!

Until next time..
