Portland Bound

We are sad that our last days of the first part of our Dog Friendly Road Trip are almost over.  We are on our way to Portland because mommy is speaking at the Women in the Pet Industry Network (WIPN) annual conference.  She is doing a talk on taking care of yourself while running a business and that is EXACTLY what she is doing on this road trip.  You can see that blog post HERE! You can hardly recognize her in a skirt!

jackswimWe found a campground in the Columbia River Gorge and of course I got to go swimming! It was cool, I got to swim while mommy watched a guy on a kite board.  As a matter of fact, she threw my ball in the river and almost hit him! He thought it was funny! The views were really awesome and as you can see–it was a BIG river and I had it all to myself!

We woke up the next day and since there really wasn’t anywhere to hike, mommy did the next best thing–she took me to the park that was attached to the campground and did a workout.  It was perfect!  She did swing lunges, pistol squats, bench pushups and dips, lunge walks and some table top planks.  It was a great way to start the day and then I got one last swim before heading into Portland.park

The drive along the Columbia River Gorge was really cool even though I slept most of the way. I do know that there was a super big waterfall that we passed called Multnomah Falls.  It is a must see if you go there! We don’t have waterfalls like this in San Diego, that’s for sure!

After our week of adventure, I am REALLY tired! A few days break during mommy’s conference is perfect before our trip south!

jacksleepThanks for taking the journey north with us but don’t leave yet because the trip south was just as much fun!  If you missed any of our other posts on our trip, you can see them HERE and feel free to subscribe to our blog (on the right) so that they come directly in your email when we update so you don’t miss anything!

Until next time………
