Holiday Dog Yoga/ Bootcamp Fundraiser Class

The holiday Dog Yoga/ Bootcamp Fundraiser / Dog Birthday class was a success!!  Leash Your Fitness raised $360. and 83 items for Furry Foster in one class!!   It only took 2 instructors, a photographer, 25 dogs and 22 people to accomplish this!  Gina made her yoga debut today after completing her yoga certification!! What a way to start her career! She did a great job relaxing half of the class while Naomi RAN the other half over jumps, A frames, and other “cardio” exercises to tire the dogs so that they would actually sit still for the yoga portion!  A few of the dogs were new to all of this so they had to have a little help on the A-frame!  Gina did such a good job that even the dogs were doing Downward facing dog! Millie was trying to figure out how to do the Savasana with her mommy and our new dog, Harley was looking at his mommy like she was crazy while she did her yoga poses.  A few of the dogs were “helping”! (as you can see from the photos!) 

After class, we got the Holiday Photo with the dogs. I wish I could say we did it in one shot but I have to admit with 25 dogs, it took a few times to get it right and I think a few of the dogs opted out of the photo!  Even though we had to wear funny Santa suits and reindeer antlers, it was worth it for the PUP CAKES!! Miss Lori made Kenzie pup cakes for her 3rd birthday and Kenzie was nice enough to share them with her friends! They were so yummy!  After such a busy morning, they tasted EXTRA good!

As an added bonus, mommy gave everyone a raffle ticket who donated toward the fundraiser, they got 2 raffle tickets if they donated AND brought an item! Congrats to Deb for winning a LYF t-shirt and to Margaret for winning the H2Rover water bottle! We hope that she comes on our next hike and tries it out on us dogs!
