We love Kim and her fur kids. They have been a great addition to the Leash Your Fitness family. Here is what Kim had to say about how our classes have helped BOTH her AND her dogs!

1/ What made you start taking Leash Your Fitness Classes?
I saw a booth set up at a dog friendly 5k. At the time I was looking for fun things to do with my dog to help us through the tough time after the death of one of our other dogs and when I looked up Leash Your Fitness I thought I’d give a class a try.
2/ How have they helped you?
The classes have helped my balance, flexibility, and strength. The focus on whole body has helped in staying injury free for work. A surprising benefit has been a social one. I’m a bit of introvert so being part of program that includes people who enjoy dogs, exercise, and being outside has helped me be social and get out more.
3/ You have 3 dogs, how have they helped the dogs?
For Zetta they helped build her confidence. She’s fearful and shy around new situations and people and with the classes she has started to come out of her shell and have fun!
Our new dog, Mojo, was a diamond in the rough before Leash Your Fitness classes; fearful, snappy, nervous and now he’s relaxed, happy, and confident. He loves going to classes and any other adventure we participate in!
For our older girl Solana they get her active and mentally stimulated, and some sunshine time!
For all of them, the classes are great for bonding 🙂

3/ What do you like most about our classes?
I like how the classes focus on whole body. I need extra help with range of motion and flexibility and each time after class I feel those needs were addressed. I also like the emphasis on core strength. Before Leash Your Fitness I couldn’t lift my paddle board onto my car without help but now I can carry it and lift it above my head to get on my car.

4/ As a tennis instructor, you are already pretty active. What have your learned from attending the classes?
Variety is the key to staying motivated to be active. I’m tired after teaching tennis and sometimes want to stay on the couch but feel great after getting my dogs out with me to class whether its bootcamp, hike, SUP, or run class.

5/ You are a part of our Trail Dogs run group. What do you want to say about that?
My favorite part of Leash Your Fitness is our running group Trail Dogs! Once my competitive tennis career ended I turned to running. I started with road running but as I got older I started doing more trails since its easier on the body and I could take my dogs. To find a running group with trails and dogs is perfect! I’m excited for the many fun events we do as a group. Mojo and Zetta love going in the trail runs and seeing their human and canine friends.
We hope that you can relate to Kim and her dogs and come give one of our classes and/ or events a try. We have a lot of testimonials like Kim’s. The best part about Leash Your Fitness is we ALL have one thing in common: OUR DOGS!
We hope to see you soon! You an your dog will LOVE US too!! Don’t forget to like our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what we are up to!
