Traveling to Banff

We left Joffre lakes heading toward Duffy lakes to camp but we could not find the campground! We found a boat dock but no campground so we kept going until we got to Seton Lake. We were so happy because it was really hot and I wanted to go swimming! We inquired and found out that there was a FREE campground on the other side of the road! Sweet! Joffre Lakes

We left the library in Pemberton bright and early especially since the sprinklers went off and woke us up at 4 a.m.! The joys of camping for free! It was a good thing because the road to Joffre lakes was crazy. There was a super big hill that we had to climb so it took a little while to get there even though it was not that far. We were really bummed to leave Baker Lake, Washington on the most beautiful day of our stay but everything happens for a reason. We stopped at the Shadow of the Sentinel walk to see some really old and BIG trees on our way into Burlington. The interesting thing about these trees are that the lacy branches “comb” moisture out of passing mist and fog. Baker Lake, Washington

What a bummer to have to leave Kachess Lake. The smoke was so bad that it was giving mommy a headache. So we headed back to the 90 and stopped at a little coffee shop in Snoqualmie to figure things out. We decided to just start heading north and see what happens. We headed up to the 203 and landed in Monroe, WA. Home of this cool bridge and swim spot that had our name written all over it. Mommy and I swam upstream against the current for a good workout. Issaquah and Lake Kachess

As always we were sad to leave Gig Harbor. It was REALLY beautiful there and we had a great time. We headed East to Issaquah, WA to teach a dog fitness class with Riverdog Canine Coaching.
