We are finally going to Arizona!! We were supposed to go in February but it was too cold so we went to Idyllwild instead which was super fun cause I got to play in the snow! Our first few days in the desert were packed full of fun! It was so much fun hiking on some new trails. You can read all about them HERE. We woke up in the Ranger’s driveway and it was COLD! We left the Mt Shasta area on Monday morning and headed south. With a full tank of water and empty tanks we could camp anywhere we wanted so let the adventure begin! We passed through the Whiskeytown area and headed to Lake Lewiston. Mommy was determined to camp on a lake somewhere and there is no stopping her when her mind is made up and of course I wouldn’t mind camping on a lake! We woke up on Friday at Brandy Creek Campground in Whiskeytown not sure where to go. We had two options, Lake Lewiston or Castle Lake, but mommy wanted to go into Redding to look for a hat to paddle in so we opted for heading north. Mommy does not do well in traffic and congested areas so we didn’t really shop. Instead we headed north. First stop was the Visitor Center in Shasta City so we could see where we were going.
