The drive from Greenfield Lake was pretty easy. We showed up to Free Dog Boarding to an audience! Everyone came out and welcomed Jack and I, it was so nice! Our friend Lisa had just moved back to New Hampshire 5 weeks ago from San Diego so it was fun to see her and her furry friends! She just happens to be a dog groomer and because of all of the ticks, mommy thought that I should get my hair cut. I hate to admit it but I felt so much better after my haircut! Mommy will have an easier time finding the ticks on me now.
The folks at Free Dog were so nice, they let us hang out there all day on their giant deck so mommy could get work done and we waited for Lisa to get off of work and then we all headed into Newburyport, MA for dinner. We officially made it to the East Coast! We can see the Atlantic Ocean!
The next day, we headed to Kurgo headquarters. Mommy was having an anxiety attack over driving Spirit into Boston so Jennifer from Kurgo offered to pick us up! Thank goodness because once we arrived in Boston we found out that there were low underpasses that we would not have fit under and narrow roads and no parking. Boston is not cut out for RV’s and it would have been a disaster!
Our event with The Fish and Bone and Kurgo was at the Hill House Back Yard Dash on the Esplanade. We couldn’t have asked for a better day! The sun was shining and it was very warm! We helped set up the Kurgo booth and then mommy and I went exploring Boston!
We took a stroll up Newbury Street and saw all of the trendy shops. Then we went to the famous Boston Commons and mommy got lemonade because by then it was getting really hot. We even stopped by the bar, Cheers. It was really fun, especially the part that I got to dock dive in the Charles River and cool off!
The class went well and everyone loved it, even the dogs. One gal even did the class in her dress and flip flops! Again, they asked if we would be back for another class. Next time we do a road trip, we are going to stay in each place longer since everyone wants us to!
We had a little lab puppy in class that stole the show! Starbuck had everyone stopping to pet his little furry head. He was so darn cute! Checkout the class photos HERE!
We wanted to THANK everyone for coming! We know it was hot, but we always work around the heat so that it is safe for the dogs!
After class, mommy and I headed to Biddeford, Maine! I can’t believe we are in Maine! We pre-ran a part of the Eastern Trail for tomorrow’s class with Super Dogs and Cats. It was a flat and wide trail, perfect for our Walking Woof Workout. We can have a Leash Your Fitness class anywhere!
It has been a long and hot day and all mommy wanted to do is take a shower. We found a campground called Hid’n Pines in Old Orchard Beach, arrived around 7 p.m. to find out that they only allow couples and families to stay the night. WHAT? We have never even heard of that! Mommy talked the guy into letting us stay! And that is all I am going to say about that! You just never know what each day will bring when you are living on the road! Never a dull moment!
The next morning, it was threatening rain. Mommy prayed that it would hold off until 10 a.m. when the class was over. We arrived at the trail head to a lot of excited people and dogs. We knew it was going to be a fun group!
During the Walking Woof Workout, mommy educates people on some exercises that they can do with their dog on their dog walks. Obviously we aren’t here on a regular basis to teach the classes but that is no reason that people can’t get more fit on their every day dog walks! We post similar exercises every Monday on our blog if you want to check them out! No reason not to add some balance, cardio, strength training and stretching every day while walking Fido!
Mommy’s prayers came true! Just as the class was ending, it started to sprinkle. We hurried up and got the group photo, did the raffle drawing and it started to POUR DOWN RAIN!! It was crazy! Perfect timing!

As you can see, we have had a very busy few days! We are now off to a rainy Acadia National Park. Acadia is one of the only National Parks that is dog friendly. Stay tuned for some cool photos from there!
