The dogs of Orange County

Leash Your Fitness RV

This past weekend our Leash Your Fitness RV decided to take a trip to Orange County, California to get the Dogs of  Orange County in shape!  What a FUN weekend!  We will share with you our hikes and beach adventures in tomorrow’s post but first we must share with you our adventures with the Momentum Fitness and Wright Way Fitness people and their 4-legged friends!

Momentum Fitness

Our adventure began on Saturday when we met Beckie from Momentum Fitness at Marine View  Middle School in Huntington Beach to teach a Fitness with Your dog class to their members.  We had the entire park to ourselves and we took over!

We had mom’s, grandpa’s, doggy moms and lots of kids in class.   We usually do not have kids in our classes so we were a little nervous UNTIL class started!

kidsdogswebThe kids had SO MUCH FUN!  It was really cool to watch them interact with the dogs and really love working out with them!

All of the dogs and the puppy parents had a great time.  A few thought that it would just be “fun” and then they were surprised to find out that yes, it is a great workout as well!

We taught a few how to safely get their pups to sit or lie down and of course how much fun it is to bond with their pups during a workout!  It was fun to play games with everyone and to teach the dogs to go over the jumps.  We were very impressed with everyone who attended!

The best part is that we raised money for the Wounded Warrior Project and had fun doing it!   Thanks to everyone who came from Momentum Fitness!  Enjoy the photos!

Our adventure continued on Sunday with Wright Way Fitness at a really cool park called Florence Joyner Olympiad Park in Mission Viejo or as the locals say “Flo Jo Park”.  What an awesome park and the best part was the super long HILL!!  We love hills!  It was a very busy park and we were more than happy to share!  Soccer games, birthday parties and a lot of “lookie loo’s” watching what we were doing!

Completely different group today! These folks were ready to work out and I don’t think that we disappointed!  Lunge walks, jumps, sprints, games, pushups, dips, planks, hill runs, squats  and lots of laughs kept them busy for the hour!  I am not sure who was more tired after class, the dogs or the people.

Pepe JumpIt was really fun watching the pups learn to do the jumps, even the little ones were flying over the jumps and a few took the easy way out and just went under!

There were so many different types of dogs in this class. Bulldogs, Golden’s, Huskies, Boxers, Poodles, Pitbulls and even a tiny Chihuahua, Pepe!

Leash Your Fitness does not discriminate! We love ALL DOGS and feel that your dog wants to bond with you, MOVE and learn new things, no matter what breed they are!  Some just tire out a little easier than others!

We always take the dogs health into consideration first. We don’t want them to do anything that they don’t want to do and we don’t want them to ever overheat.

We just want to have fun and introduce you to new exercises that you can add to your dog walks and new activities to try! We did both of those things this weekend in Orange County and we are proud to say that it was a success!  The first question was “When are you coming back so we can do this again!”

Enjoy the photos from the Wright Way Fitness class! Adam, the owner was THRILLED about us coming up!!  See what he has to say HERE!  We look forward to teaching another Leash Your Fitness class in Orange County soon, let us know if you want us to come to your area, our RV is ready!
