It was sad leaving Hood River. We had so much fun with Jen and her family and their pool! But it was time to move on and head north to my 36th state, Washington!
We hightailed it out of Oregon as soon as the eclipse was over to beat the traffic and it worked. The drive to Sequim, Washington was an easy one.
We arrived at our friend’s house and we were on the go! They took us to dinner and we got to watch the sunset over the big swimming pool! I think I will like it here!
The next day was EPIC! Wait until you see what all that we did!
First we went to the Olympic National Park.
We drove up this big hill to Hurricane Ridge. The views were pretty darn nice up there!
The bummer was because it is a National Park, dogs are not allowed on the trails so mommy had to go on this little hike alone. This is why we don’t usually come to National Parks.
We drove back down the big hill and were off to the prettiest lake that I have ever seen and I have been to a lot of lakes!
Crescent Lake is glacier fed and it was so blue and pretty darn warm! Bear and I had fun swimming in it! Mommy was bummed that she did not have her suit!
That was a super fun stop! Then we were off to the most Northwestern Corner of the continuous United States, Cape Flattery. It was a spectacular place!
The hike out to the tip was one of the coolest hikes that we have ever been on. It was only 3/4 of a mile but the trees were really cool! Mommy even videotaped part of it, check it out HERE!
The trail was smooth most of the way but it also had roots, stairs, and walk ways!
We had a lot of fun on that trail. It was foggy which made it all the more eerie! The fog at the end was perfect for the occasion!
And then it lifted and it was simply gorgeous!
It was a pretty drive home along the water. We saw a beautiful rainbow and we knew then that Grandma was with us!
It was a long day. On the way home us dogs rested in the car…
…while our people stopped at Blackberry Cafe and got blackberry salads and blackberry lemonade!! Mommy said they were YUMMY!
We slept well that night! The next day we hung around Sequim and mommy got to finally pick pears….
and Blackberries. She seems why they are so expensive in the stores. They are painful to pick!
Ester and Mike took us to a cool place to explore. We got a little lost on the trails at Robin Hill Park but an 87 year young man that was running explained how the trail system worked. He said he never runs alone. He always run with pain! He was a crack up.
We went back to Ester & Mikes house and I got comfy one of the many dog beds that they have that look out over the beautiful Olympic National Park. Mommy had an essential oil class there to educate Esters friends on how they can use the oils to get rid of the chemicals in the house. The ladies loved it. If you want more info on how you can use oils for you and your pup, just let mommy know!
It was another fun day. We are leaving tomorrow to head south. But before we head out of town, we have one more place to explore! Ester and Mike took us dogs to the Railroad Bridge. Super cool wooden bridge that the trains used to go over.
It had a great trail and beautiful views.
It was the Grand Finale to a super fun time in Sequim with our friends. Elsie and Bear were sad to see us leave. They wanted to come with us.
