San Diego Expo Weekend full of Events

We had an extremely busy weekend this past weekend.  It all started on when we had to get up super early so mommy could teach a stretch class to all of the dog trainers that were in San Diego for the APDT dog trainers convention.  After all of the trouble I went to to entertain them the last time we met, (see my blog on “Surf demo at the bay“) mommy didn’t even let me take part in the stretch class.  It had something to do with the class being around the pool and the fact that I am addicted to water and bark really loud when I am around it and it being 6:30 a.m. at a hotel–I dunno, something along those lines so I had to sit on the sidelines and watch.

Then we headed to the Pet Expo in Del Mar where we got to hang out at the booth with “Treat lady” aka Arden Moore and her dog like cat Zieki.  There were a lot of people there and although we didn’t get a booth by anyone giving out dog treats (those are my favorite booths) we did get to DOCK DIVE!! I was so excited.  I don’t know about you, but there is NOTHING that I get more excited about.  Mommy says I cry like a baby but I can’t help it. I just wish that we didn’t have to wait for all of the other dogs to go cause waiting in the line is torture for me!  I LOVE to dock dive and I just can’t control myself.  I don’t care that I am by far the smallest dog, it is just really fun to jump really far in the water and then I get to SWIM!  I jumped over 10′ this time.  I am getting better each time.  I don’t want to brag but I got first place in my category and I got a blue ribbon.  Mommy says we are going to have to get a ribbon case cause I have too many now from surfing and dock diving.

We also got to be on stage with Miss Arden and do her “Dog Party” talk with her. It is fun cause I get to eat treats out of a bucket.  I really won the game cause I ate the most treats but I didn’t really want the prize only the treats so I let the little pug have it.  I also won the bucket game cause mommy got the most water in the bucket when I didn’t pull when she walked me but we didn’t fight it when some guy gave the prize to Bobbi and Gracie cause I really like them and they are my friends. ( I think the guy needed glasses though!)

The weekend ended with me getting my picture taken with a famous dog trainer named, Victoria Stilwell. She has a show called “Its Me or the Dog” on Animal Planet.  I was so tired by that point that I just got my picture taken so that we could go home.  I just kept hoping that mommy is too tired to give me a bath when we get home.
