The drive from Grand Mesa, Colorado to Utah was super pretty. We love all of the colored rocks in Utah. It sure is a change of scenery for us.
We wasn’t sure where to go but we knew we had to go somewhere near water as it was a warm day! We settled for Sand Hollow State Park and we got to camp on the sand! Mommy almost got stuck driving in but I was proud of her, she didn’t!
As soon as we parked we inflated the SUP and we were on the lake in no time!
It was a big lake and the water was warm! Yayy!!
We paddled to the other side where the pretty rocks were. I got off the SUP and checked them out.
Then mommy parked the SUP and we climbed to the very top of the high rocks. People were jumping off of them into the water!
The paddle back was hard for mommy cause the wind was strong but it was kind of fun riding the big waves.
We got rinsed off in the RV and then we took a walk on the beach and saw the beautiful sunset. Last one of our trip.
It was still really warm and the mosquitoes were attacking mommy big time so we ran to the RV and stayed there! The stars were so pretty, we are used to it raining most night so it was a nice change to look out and see the clear sky and shiny stars.
The next morning we got up and headed for home. It was a very sad drive and very boring. We can’t believe this journey has come to an end. It has been super fun and exciting and when we look back we feel like it was perfect.

We arrived home to San Diego after traveling 10,013 miles. 10 seems to be our number! We were gone 10 weeks, traveled 10,000 miles and I am 10 years old! Mommy wanted me to tell you that we spent $3,392 on gas just in case you were wondering. Two apps that we would recommend is: Gas buddy and Costco.
The average price of our campsites was $27. and as you saw, we had all kinds of sites! Some had electric & water, some only electric and some had nothing but a picnic table!
