Jack’s holiday road trip

We decided to spend the Christmas holiday hiking in the local Cuyamaca Mountains!  Mommy and daddy loaded up the RV and away we went on a road trip!

Our first stop was West San Ysabel where we did a 6.5 mile hike. It was really pretty. We aren’t used to seeing rolling green hills in San Diego so it was kind of fun!

There were lots of hills to climb and we had the entire area to ourselves! We like it that way!

After the hike, we headed to the William Heise Campground where we relaxed for a wee bit…..

Then we headed out to check out a few of the many trails around camp! We did the Cedar and Potter trails…..

We were happy that we had electric as it was very cold at night.  I even wrapped up in a pink blanket to stay warm so you know it MUST have been cold!

We got a good night sleep and them mommy and daddy had a yummy breakfast in Julian at the Julian Cafe and Bakery.   Then it was time for hike #3!!  We went to Volcan Mountain and hiked 5 miles.

Man!! It was COLD and WINDY!!  I had to bundle up in my winter gear!
