Mommy was jumping for joy! Why you ask? Because her and daddy took me hiking up a really steep mountain and I wasn’t limping the next day!! I think my paw is getting better! (see my last post if you don’t know what I am talking about) Everything that she is doing to help me is working!
The hike was called El Cajon Mountain Hike, some people call it El Capitan but we didn’t make it to either peak so it didn’t matter to me what it was called. We turned around after 4 miles because mommy didn’t want me to overdo it because we are going camping and she wanted me to feel ok. (this was a test hike) We did make it to the peak in this photo……
The hike was a lot of ups and downs, it was not a hike for a beginning hiker.
The BEST part of the day was the mud! I love to get dirty so it was the perfect day for that!
We hiked it after a lot of rainy days and it even rained while we were hiking! It was so fun to get wet! Daddy was soaked! It was so funny!
You would NOT want to hike this hike in the sun or on a warm day ESPECIALLY with your dog unless you want to kill your dog. I am not kidding! There is no shade and it is a strenuous workout. It gets VERY hot in that area. Mommy said that they day we were there was perfect for me except it was foggy so she couldn’t see the view very well!
We hiked all of the way into the clouds and that is when we turned around.
It was a fun day and daddy doesn’t hike with us much so it was fun having him with us. He gets mad at mommy for taking so many photos. I am used to her, plus she gives me a treat every time she takes my photo so I don’t mind!
Wait until you see what my next adventure is going to be! Want a hint? It has to do with 43 dogs and a campground!! Stay tuned till next week!
