Doggie Dash 5k!

Sunday September 14th, Leash Your Fitness participated in the Doggie Dash 5k to benefit FACE: the Foundation for Animal Care and Education. FACE provides financial assistance for life-saving veterinary procedures for pets in San Diego County.  We couldn’t wait to support such a great cause!  The race took place at Roadrunner Sports and even though it was scorching hot day, we still had tons of fun!  We set up our booth and greeted lots of friendly people and dogs.  There was face painting, a pool with ice water for the dogs to cool off in, and even an agility course for the pups to try out!

Leash Your Fitness was honored to lead the warm-up for the race!  Naomi and our team of runners helped warm up the crowd with high knees, butt kickers, side lunges, calf raises…and lots of cheering!  After the quick warm-up we lined up and got ready to RUN!  The course was nice and flat and there were friendly volunteers to help point us in the right direction on the course.  Everyone got to finish the race running through the vendor booths while being cheered on and announced by the MC!   Once everyone finished, we got to head inside to the nice air conditioning to hear the awards and do some shopping!
