Guess where we got to spend the night? At the Glamorous Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel. Did you know that they are dog friendly? I got to appear in their Posh Pooch Video highlighting all of the FUN amenities that they have for dogs! And now I got to check them out myself! The whole area is very dog friendly!
We began our journey in Dana Point, we had lunch at “The Shwack Bar & Grill” and it was yummy!! We passed 2 restaurants with nobody in them and found this one with a line out the door! Always a good sign! And of course they were dog friendly and even had a water bowl for me! We then took a walk at the Harbor, it sure was pretty down there!
Mommy was so excited to get to the Ritz and they were nice enough to give us an early check in so we took advantage of it! They were expecting us!! The nice man, Alan at the front door, even knew my name! They escorted us to our room and you are not going to believe this, they had a photo of me on the table!! The best part was the comfy dog bed that they had for me and the TREATS!! They were pretty colors! The water bowl was pretty cool too and guess what? They said that we could keep it! It was hand painted and
everything!
Our room was BEAUTIFUL, marble floors in the bathroom and a big comfy bed for mommy and daddy! I didn’t even want to sleep on their bed because I had my own! The best part about our room was the little patio with trees and right behind the trees was the swimming pool!! Yeaaaa!! Mommy and I went out and sat by the pool and I have to be honest, it was torturing me to not be able to go in it so I wouldn’t let mommy read. I kept trying to tell her that I REALLY wanted to go swimming! She finally couldn’t take my whining anymore so we went for a walk!! Man, that place is big!! We kind of got lost but not really because we were “exploring” (that is what mommy told daddy!) We could run a marathon in the hallways, there were so many of them and they were BIG! There were pretty flowers everywhere too! After we were done exploring, we went back to the room and once again mommy tried to read on the patio. The door bell rang and a nice man brought mommy and daddy a plate of food! I wasn’t allowed to have any but it looked good! He said it was “compliments of the chef”. This place is so awesome!
After we were all done snacking, we decided to take the free shuttle in to Laguna Beach. It was fun and everyone thought that I was so cute! Laguna Beach is very dog friendly, we found a restaurant to eat at. It was called Sun Dried Tomato. I was so tired at this point that I took a nap but mommy and daddy sure did like their meals! We walked around the town and then when we decided to get a shuttle back, we found out that no dogs are allowed on the shuttle. Uhhh Ooooo!! We walked a long way and waited at another shuttle stop until another bus came and the nice man let us on. So two nice men allowed me on the shuttle but the mean lady wouldn’t!! So if you go there, look for the nice men shuttle drivers but beware, if you ride it one way, you may get stuck like we did! If you would rather stay at the hotel and eat, 180 BLU is awesome! It is outside and the view is breathtaking and it is dog friendly!
It was a long day and we went back to the Ritz to find yet ANOTHER surprise! Chocolate covered strawberries! Man did they look GOOD!! Everyone knows that dogs can’t have chocolate so I am not sure what they were thinking! I think they must have forgot so mommy and daddy ate them and gave me another Ritz colorful treat!
Of course I woke up bright and early the next morning! I couldn’t wait to start the day!! We went for a long walk on the path. The bummer was that I wasn’t allowed on the beautiful beach BUT the trails went on forever! We passed two beautiful golf courses and saw lots of other dogs! If you go, don’t forget your walking shoes because you definitely want to take advantage of those cool walking paths! We could have kept going but mommy wanted to take the complimentary yoga class over looking the ocean. She said it was really fun and the instructor taught her some new poses.
The time had come that we had to leave. Mommy was actually crying at the front desk! (she is so embarrassing
sometimes!) We had such a great time that we wished that we could stay another day! Everyone was so nice to us, the hotel was BEAUTIFUL and very relaxing and our room and all of the amenities were outstanding! We want to thank the Ritz Carlton, especially our friend Sheryl Ishizaki for making our stay unforgettable! We hope that you enjoy the photos and we hope that you get to stay at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and experience the Posh Pooch Program too! You will leave just as tired as I did!!
