Tis’ the season for buying gifts for your loved ones, co-workers, friends, neighbors, mail delivers, etc. Sometimes it can be a little daunting so we thought that we would share with you some of our favorite things (we want to be like Oprah except, sorry–we can’t give everyone in class one of each of these!). Of course, most of them have to do with health, fitness or dogs but hey, that is what we like and maybe you will too!!
1/ Books: Who doesn’t enjoy a good book. One of the BEST gifts that I have received at a gift exchange at a holiday party many years ago was a book, I started reading for fun and have been reading ever since. Do you know that we have a Book Reviewer that reviews all of the latest Dog Based Books. Check them out and buy one for a holiday gift exchange or for the dog lovers in your life. Buy a few and trade off!
2/ Candles are a thing of the past and dangerous for pet owners that have tails wagging around the house, the newest craze is Scentsy Wickless Wax Burners. They smell WONDERFUL & are much safer. Check them out, you may even want to have a party!
3/ Vitamix. Do you know someone that needs to add a few vegetables into their diet, likes homemade soup or just needs more nutrients? We LOVE our Vitamix! You can blend ANYTHING, make healthy ice cream, soups, dips, and more! I use mine EVERY DAY!! I blend all kinds of vegetables & fruits with my protein powder for a healthy lunch. Much better than a juicer because you can add protein PLUS you keep the valuable fiber in the vegetables which will keep you fuller longer and not send your blood sugar rocketing! You can purchase at Costco or Bed Bath & Beyond (make sure you use your 20% coupon!)
4/ Hand Free Dog Leash. Does your dog pull? Do you often need your hands but one is occupied with a dog leash? We have the answer for you! Our hands free leash is AWESOME!! It goes around your waist so your dog will not pull on your arm & ruin your shoulder and your hands are free to carry groceries, etc. Plus, you can take it off and easily tie your dog to a pole if you need to. Even has a hook for your keys so you are SET!
5/ Hand Blown Glass Jewelry. Why buy store bought massed produced jewelry when you can buy one of a kind ART! Teresa does a beautiful job at hand making every piece of jewelry that she does. Every piece is very unique and colorful. Makes a lovely gift that will show you care! Plus it is always a good idea to support local artists.
6/ Massage: Who doesn’t NEED a massage? The best way to do it is buy a gift certificate and then TAKE your loved one there and drop them off! That way you KNOW that they will use it and can relax on the way home since you are going to pick them up!! I did this for my hair dresser and she LOVED it!! I even watched her daughter while she was getting her massage. This would be ANY mom’s BEST gift ever!
7/ Custom Yoga Mat: Coolest gift for your workout friends. We even have Leash Your Fitness ones complete with doggy yoga mats! They are made really well & come in very pretty colors! 🙂
8/ Leash Your Fitness Gift Certificates: Speaking of workout friends! Why don’t you buy them a gift certificate that can be used for ANYTHING that we offer. We offer bootcamp, running, yoga, butt & gut &/or upper body classes, hikes, kayaking, camping, apparel, and leashes. Seems like the perfect gift to your dog friend who wants to work out, meet cool “dog people” and spend time with their dog!! Gift Certificates are available in any amount.
9/ Dozer Surfs Book: Super fun children’s book that will help your child build confidence.
10/ Dog Treats: Now you can’t buy your dog friends a gift without buying their dog something so why not some yummy treats! Did you know that our own Scooter is featured on dog treats at Dexter’s Deli in Del Mar. . Ask for the Peanut Butter & Molasses ones!
