Day 7 – Durango to Colbran

We got up early (we get up really early every day cause I am so excited!)  and we went to Starbucks in Durango cause mommy was having a hard time finding ice coffee anywhere and today is her birthday so we have to do whatever she wants! 🙂  (the date 07-08-09)  Then we drove toward Silverton and went off roading to Lime Creek.  It was a 10 mile dirt road that took us to a lake and we were the only ones there!  Daddy painted and mommy and I hiked around the lake and got all muddy in the marsh!  I got to swim AGAIN!  Mommy wanted a picture of a lily pad so she went skinny dipping so she could get a picture!  She is crazy!  We also rock climbed up to this big rock so we could get a good picture from there –the things we do to get a good timer picture for  your viewing pleasure!   We were out there for 5 hours and mommy was ready to kill daddy cause she was so hungry!  We finally made it to Silverton to this really cool restaurant that had lots of dogs on the patio for me to play with.  Mommy had an elk burger and daddy had a buffalo burger and they both had sweet potatoe fries.  Mommy was so happy!  We then headed out toward Ouray.  Daddy kept stopping and taking picutres.  I do have to admit that it was a really cool drive (even though I was sleeping in the back)!  We stopped in Ouray for mommy to get her ice cream fix-only one scoop today since she overdid it yesterday at Coldstone!  Now we are on our way to Bruces’ house in Colbran.  We are going to stay there tonight if we ever get there–daddy keeps stopping to take pictures and mommy wants a shower so she is getting grumpy!!  Made it there by 8:30 –got the tour of Bruces beautiful home and property and then mommy stayed up till midnight posting photos!! …………
