Rose Bowl Parade Tryouts

Most dogs get to spend the day quietly at home when their mommy’s are at work, they may get to go on a few walks, maybe go to the dog park and if they are really lucky, attend one of our Leash Your Fitness classes! 

Do you know what I spent my day doing?  Riding in the back of a car with Dozer and his stinky breath while mommy and Auntie Gigi talked non-stop for hours on end and kept getting mixed up in silly traffic.

Then, I got to hang out in a parking lot with a bunch of other surf dogs and we weren’t even allowed to play ball!  The final straw was when mommy told me I was going to get to go SWIMMING and she took me to a very shallow pool where I had to surf on a very tiny wave with some guy that I didn’t even know!! I didn’t even get wet! And you ask what was this for? 

Mommy took me to try out for the surfing float that will be used by Natural Balance for the Rose Bowl Parade.  It is going to be in the Guinness book of Records for being the worlds longest and heaviest float–especially if they pick all of those bulldogs to be on it!!

I tell you what, good thing I got lots of treats and got to play with toys at Uncle Peter’s house after our long ride home with Dozer sitting on me!  Its also a good thing that I love my mommy because she sure does make me do some crazy things!

I guess it is better than hanging at the house while mommy works and mommy sure did enjoy herself with all of our friends from the So Cal Surf Dogs so that makes it all better! One thing is for sure, there is never a dull moment around here!  Enjoy the pictures, we will let you know if we make the semi-finals, all of us veteran surfers rocked those tiny waves so they are going to have a hard time picking!  Stay tuned……..

PS.  If things can’t get any worse, they put my picture on the same page with Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton on Radar Online.  I am going to get a bad reputation!
