Homemade Dog Treat Recipe of the Month

Marcy’s Favorites (Makes about 4-5 doz, depending on size of cookie cutters).

2C Coach’s Oats multigrain pancake mix (available at Costco)

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 c. almond meal (or peanut flour)

1c. soy milk

1c. crunchy peanut butter

Preheat oven to 375F.

Blend milk and peanut butter until smooth in a small bowl. Mix together dry ingredients in large bowl and add peanut butter mixture. Combine until smooth. Pat out (or roll with floured rolling pin) to 1/4″ thickness. Cut into desired shapes.

Place cookies on lightly greased cookie sheet (or parchment paper). Bake for 20 min or until golden brown.

Allow to cool and store in an airtight container. Will keep about 2 weeks at room temp.

Note: If your dog is gluten sensitive, you can substitute 2C. Bob’s Red Mill Gluten free pancake mix for the Coach’s Oats mix.
