Prescott, AZ

It was really sad leaving Lake Pleasant, we had such a killer spot on the water but we knew the weekend craziness was about to begin so we headed north to Prescott. Mommy hadn’t been there in years and decided to go check it out. She texted Daddy’s brother, Pat, and he invited us to stay at their home. It was super fun visiting with them and their Cattle Dog, Bob  and meeting their new 3 month old puppy, Kate….

We headed out the next morning to check out the town.  We stopped and got some groceries and drove through the town and saw the beautiful courthouse.

Mommy is not much for towns so we kept going and just happened to find a lake!  Goldwater lake was small but perfect for a little hike.

Of course, I went swimming for a few minutes even though it said “no swimming” and it was pretty cold. I just couldn’t help myself!

It was a pretty hike and perfect for me since I now have arthritis in my paws and can’t hike very much anymore.  I do what I can.

We continued up Senator Highway and found a great spot for camping.  There wasn’t anyone out there!  It was so perfect!

We just happened to be on a hiking trail called the 384 so the next day, we ventured out!

It was another perfect hike for me as it was very smooth.  We even found a little water for me to cool off in.

The views were really pretty.

I got a little tired and my feet hurt so I rested…

And then mommy carried me for 2 miles up a hill.  She doesn’t care, it is a good workout for her!

We met some new friends while camping, Barron and Elsa are living in Scamp with their pup, Camp.  They were super cool!

Again, it was hard to leave such a killer spot but it was now Sunday and time to head south back to another lake.  Mommy has a lot of friends that live in Prescott so we stopped to see Terry and Bill and their dog, Sammy on the way out of town.  They moved here a few years ago and really love it.   Check out the view from their house!

We are off to Bartlett Lake.  We were there last year and really loved it so thought we would try it again so stay tuned for our last adventure….
