Dog Snow Day

It isn’t often that it snows in San Diego so when it does, mommy likes to take me to play in the snow.  We only going during the week because it is usually very busy on the weekends.  We have a few places that we usually go to avoid the crowds off of the 79 in the Laguna Mountains where dogs are allowed.

Mommy likes to go to  and see how pretty it looks surrounded by the snow.  No dogs are allowed in or around the lake because it is part of the Cuyamaca State Park but it is fun to look at!

I don’t know why she tortures me like that! She knows that I love to swim!  But I get over it real quick when she lets me out of the car to play in the snow! It is so much fun catching snow balls!

Mommy and I usually take a little walk in the snow.  We turned around when the snow got too deep for me to walk in.  Remember when you take your dog to the snow that they do not have shoes on so make sure that no snow or ice gets built up in between their pads.  Also, dry off their feet when you get back to the car. If there is any salt on the roads, make sure that you also rinse them off.

It was a fun morning playing in the snow.  There were kids sled riding and building snow people.  It is fun watching them enjoy themselves outside in nature.  Please remember to pick up your trash when you leave.  It is not the park’s responsibility to clean up and we don’t want to ruin our beautiful parks.

Do you take your dog to play in the snow?  We would love to hear about your experience and how your dog liked it.  Maybe your dog is used to the snow, we know that may cousins on the East Coast are!

Thanks for reading!  Until my next adventure, make sure you get out and do fun stuff with your pup! If you live in San Diego, check our SCHEDULE  because we have fun stuff going on every weekend!
