Cedar Hill was a great first stop on Jacks Journey USA! After leaving Ardens and doing her Pet Life Radio / Oh Behave Show, we had to drive through Dallas again. Lots of traffic and construction and was happy when that was over with. By the time we got to Cedar Hill, we had logged in 1481 miles in 4 days! We are ready for a few days of no driving!
We went to the Recreation Center and met Paul Macias, he is the one that hired mommy to come and teach the class at Crawford Park. The park was really big and perfect for class. It had a big field and lots of shade.
After we met Paul and checked out the park, we went to Costco for gas. We created a traffic jam cause all of the women were getting out of their cars and trying to touch me! Don’t they know that I don’t like being touched? I let a few of them get their photo taken with me in the line but mommy said we had to go cause the people behind us were getting mad.
Man! Cedar Hill State Park is BIG! So is the lake! I was so excited!! Mommy got us a site across the street from the lake. There weren’t any lake front sites left but no worries, mommy made friends with a man named Alex who had the perfect site for us to launch our ISLE SUP!
Alex was very nice and him and mommy and Alex’s girlfriend hung out all weekend. They even came to our class!
Speaking of the class, it was a lot of fun. It was small crowd but everyone had fun and most of the dogs got along very well. There was one dog that was a little aggressive to the other dogs but mommy distracted her and she did great. Her mommy thanked my mommy for doing that and asked mommy if we could move to Cedar Hill! I have a feeling a lot of people are going to want us to move to their neighborhoods when they see how much fun the class is! Check out the photos HERE!

CEDAR HILL CLASS
We started class at 7:30 a.m., have to start early in Texas cause it gets hot. We played red light/ green light, did some fun drills and of course went over the jumps. Mommy showed everyone some exercises that they can incorporate on their dog walks since we aren’t going to be here conducting classes. They can do some of this stuff on their own. If you want to add exercises to your dog walks, make sure you check out our Move It Mondays. We post a new exercise each week!

After class, we went back to class and it was heating up and I was SOOOO EXCITED because we got to go SWIMMING! Mommy took me on a 5 mile paddle the entire way across the lake. We were out on the lake for a few hours. I was being pretty neurotic because we brought my Wubba and I can’t help wanting to play with it and jump in the water after it constantly so I whine NON STOP. Man! Mommy was getting really annoyed with me. It fell off the board and I am surprised that she just didn’t leave it float away but we went back and found it. Good thing because it is my favorite water toy! (Can you see in the top right photo where we paddled to? It was FAR!)

After the paddle, I got to take a nap and mommy was supposed to relax and read but of course that didn’t happen. She started doing a bunch of things around camp until Alex showed up and then him and her talked for a couple of hours. It was nice to see her just sit still and relax and Alex is a very nice guy.
Of course that didn’t last too long. We took the SUP back out for a sunset paddle. Paddled down to the beach this time. This campground is really cool! The water was a little calmer this time and we didn’t take the Wubba so it was a much better experience for everyone. I got to swim and mommy got to enjoy the serenity of the water without my constant whining!

Alex and his girlfriend had us down for a yummy dinner of fajitas. It was a full moon and a beautiful night to sit on the lake with new friends. Mommy was so happy and so thankful that we got to come on this journey and meet all of the wonderful people that we have been meeting and do all of the fun things. And we just started!
Daddy called and told us the bad news that a storm was coming so it kind of put a damper on our plans. We were going to SUP and then go see mommy’s friend that lives nearby but now our plans changed. Stay tuned for the next post to see what coolness that we ended up doing! You will NOT be disappointed!
