Thanks so much for joining us on Jacks Journey USA. I am a 10 year old Cairn Terrier that loves to be outdoors doing fun stuff! Mommy and I are having an amazing time on our 10 week RV journey around the country promoting fitness with your dog! I have swam in every state and we have been teaching fitness classes around the country. We got an early start from Traverse City, we knew we had long drive ahead of us. Traverse City was such a fun stop! We are so happy that Val from Woofers on the Run called us and we added this stop on last minute!
We were in the RV for 11 hours today! Well, mommy stopped a few times for groceries, gas and of course to let me swim! We arrived at Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground at 7 p.m.. It was HOT and HUMID! After being in the RV for 11 hours we needed a little workout!
Mommy hooked up her TRX on the playground set and worked out and I chased my wubba and squirrels. That is, until it started POURING! It poured down rain for 12 hours. Mommy had to go out in it to hook up the RV and this is what she wore. I was so embarrassed!
The next morning, we headed over to B-Fit Personal Training because they are hosting our Dog Yoga class here in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. It was fun seeing our friend Bev and her friends and clients.
She took us to Sam Russell Pet Provisions as they are co-sponsoring the class. Really cool store and dog-boarding place. It looked like a house. The owner said that when they opened nobody knew what dog boarding was and now they have to expand because they are so busy!! Dog businesses are the up and coming thing because people LOVE their dogs! Our class even made it to the front page of the local paper..
Next we went to see the park where the class was going to be! Man! It was big! Best part is that it is on a lake! It is really hot here so we will be swimming for sure after class! It was kind of cloudy and windy today but what the heck, we took the SUP out anyhow! It was a great workout for mommy paddling against the wind!
When we arrived in to town, we noticed that the play in town was “The Wizard of Oz” but guess who they were missing in their display—TOTO!! So mommy had to fix it and get a photo of me with Dorothy! I am practicing for when we visit the Wizard of OZ museum in Kansas next week!
Sunday came and it was BEAUTIFUL and HOT! It just so happened to be International Yoga Day so lets do 2 yoga classes! Mommy went to B- Fit and took a yoga class. Jennifer was a really good teacher and she is interested in starting the Dog Yoga classes in Elizabethtown with her dog Oso, we know that they will do a great job!
Our Dog Yoga Class is at 1 p.m. so we went to find shade at the park and set up and get the SUP ready for after class so everyone can cool off. It was a pretty setting for class. Everyone got to work on their balance, a few people were surprised to find out how unbalanced they are. Do you work on your balance?
It was fathers day so we were happy to celebrate the dads in the class!
I even found a girlfriend in class, Stormie is a Westie that looks just like me and loves to SUP and swim! Too bad I don’t live here or we can hang out more often!
Kim and her pup, Oscar came the whole way from St Louis, Missouri to take the class because she it starting classes there soon. Her business is called Fitness With Fido. If you know anyone in that area, send them her way!
Thanks to everyone that came to class. We raised $85. For PAWS shelter foundation, a group that helps shelter dogs in Kentucky.
After class, Everyone tried the SUP and loved it. A few people thought that it was Sit Up Paddle Board!
It was fun to see the dogs on the board for the first time!
Everyone left and we decided it may be better to get on the road tonight and beat the Monday traffic so we took off toward Illinois. We ended up staying in a rest stop with our trucker friends. Stay tuned for what we saw there….
