Dawn has 12 years
experience in the Personal Training arena. She has worked with
both men and women from 20 – 75 years of age. Her experience
includes everything from weight loss, posture, core strength,
cardiovascular, flexibility and balance training. She has
taught yoga, kickboxing, boot camp & sculpting classes in
corporate, outdoor & residential settings. Dawn enjoys anything
outside! She loves to run, hike, mountain & road bike, kayak,
swim, surf, & yoga. As long as Jack is with her, she is happy.
Credentials: ACE certified
group and personal trainer, A.A. degree in Radiography, CPR &
AED
certified, B.S. degree in Kinesiology. She has
taken many certification classes in posture, gait, muscle
balancing and nutrition.

Jack is a Cairn
Terrier that does not like to be left behind. He goes just
about everywhere with Dawn or else he teaches her a lesson by
chewing up her slippers!! He likes showing off how fast he can run
(has been clocked at 21 mph), he loves to swim, hike, get dirty
and of course chase the ball FOR HOURS!! He also does numerous
tricks if he knows he will get a tasty treat for performing!!

Exercising
with groups, whether a team or an aerobics class, has
always been Angie Robert's favorite way to get in a work
out. In Fall of 2005, Robert decided to take her
workouts to a new level and got certified to teach group
exercise through 24 Hour Fitness. She is certified to
teach cycling, pilates, and strength and endurance
classes. She has competitively raced in half-marathons,
marathons, triathlons and walked the 60-mile Breast
Cancer 3-Day for three consecutive years. Robert became
a cancer survivor at age 26 and resides in Clairemont
with her husband, Scott, and two dachshunds, Gary and
Patrick. |

Meg loves being
active and has participated in competitive gymnastics,
collegiate lacrosse, and completed several marathons. After
working in Accounting for several years, Meg decided that she
needed a career, which incorporated her passions of fitness,
people, overall health, and even dogs!
Meg holds a
Pilates instructor certification and is also an ISSA Certified
Fitness Trainer. Meg opened
Renovo
Pilates, which
specializes in rehabilitative Pilates and Pilates for Athletes.
She is excited to combine her team experiences and fitness
knowledge with her love of dogs at the Coronado Leash Your
Fitness classes!
Meg resides in
Coronado with her husband, Nate, and her energetic Siberian
Husky, Kiley.

Lara has over
12 years experience training people and dogs. In addition to a
background in corporate training, Lara has taught adult swim
lessons and surf classes. She participates in marathons,
triathlons, wakeboarding competitions, and surf contests. She
also enjoys hiking, kayaking, and stand up paddle boarding. She
is excited to combine her love for teaching and for dogs and do
both in our Leash Your Fitness Classes, she is also the owner of
Happy Dog Happy Owner. During her free time, Lara volunteers at
the San Diego Department of Animal Control and the Rancho
Coastal Humane Society.

After trying
out her first Leash Your Fitness class, Jennifer was hooked. She
loves being active and finding new ways to exercise and
challenge herself and her dog. Whether it’s yoga, spin,
kickboxing class, or a morning run with her lab-mix pup, Jake,
her workouts are always a highlight of her day. She believes
fitness is the key to keeping a healthy body and sound mind.
Credentials: BA in Communications from UCSB and is currently pursuing her ACE
Personal Training Certification. She has also taken courses in:
Nutrition, Thai Massage and Alternative Medicine.

Tammy is a RYT
currently enrolled in Yoga Works Professional 300hr program.
Tammy is also enrolled in The Institute of Integrative Nutrition
and is launching her health counseling business "Authentically
Delicious Nutrition" this June. Teaching yoga "Find Your Sweet
Spot" at R.D. Alchemy Natural Products in Little Italy takes up
most of her time. Tammy is an animal lover and currently the
grandmother of Bert, her sons extremely cool cat. Seeing that
her new hood, Little Italy, has many people taking their pets
for a walk, Tammy wanted to connect with the community and offer
yoga to the pet owners as well as their furry companions.

Dog Trainers |
|

Salem Flores has been involved in dog training for over 15
years. He started learning and working with his dad and
uncle who have more than 30 years of experience in dog
training. In 1996 he needed to make a decision, to
continue training dogs or go to college, he decide to do
both where he studied 5 years of veterinary medicine in
the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. Because of his
background he has a great understanding of dogs, finding
out if their problem is either medical or behavioral and
making the right decisions to help them. In his second
year of his career he join the FCM (Mexican Canine
Federation) where he helped with competition in
obedience and conformation helping AKC judges in the
ring where he learned from them the quality's and
behavior of the different breeds.
Titles:
Training Director, Obedience Club of San Diego;
Manager, Markim Pet Resort Boarding and Training. Also,
donates time to training rescue dogs.
Experience In:
Police dog training, working with dogs that have severe
behavior problems such as human aggression, dog
aggression, shyness, destructive behavior, separation
anxiety etc... training the dogs along with their owners
to solve their problems and even going one step further,
getting their CD, CDX, UD and CGC where Salem is also
AKC evaluator.

Meagan Karnes is president and senior behaviorist at
The Collared Scholar.
She has been training dogs professionally since 2002 and has
developed a specialization in anti aggression training and
behavioral problem solving. She trains, competes and has titled
dogs in a variety of dog sports including agility, obedience and
protection sports. She is a member of the Sage Working Dog Club
and she was the recent winner of “San Diego State University's
Rising Star Award for Excellence in Business.

Kelly has been
training dogs since 2009. Currently she helps dog owners with
basic obedience and problem solving. She is continuing her
education to learn how to help dog owners tackle serious issues
such as aggression and fear. She is on hand during our North
Park classes to help with dog "issue's" during class.

Penny
After reading about doga yoga in a
magazine and attending her first Leash Your Fitness doga
yoga class, Penny knew Leash Your Fitness was the perfect
place for her and her beagle Friday.
In addition to working out in our classes, they enjoy hiking
and running. When she's not managing Leash Your Fitness'
social media, Penny works in government administration and
chairs a local alumni chapter for her undergraduate alma
matter.
Credentials: BA in
Political Science from Northern Illinois University and a
MBA from University of Phoenix-San Diego Ground Campus.

Matt
Matt loves his dogs, Oliver and Ruby. While searching for a job,
he found that Leash Your Fitness was in need of a marketing
intern and he instantly fell in love with the company. He enjoys
watching movies, taking his dogs to the park, and taking them to
LYF class. Matt attends SDSU and is active in the American
Marketing Association where he is currently the Vice President
of Advertising.

B.S. in Marketing, with a specialization in Integrated Marketing
