Kitchen Creek Falls

Kitchen Creek Falls

I can not believe that we have been hiking all over San Diego for 12 years and we have never been to Kitchen Creek Falls.  It is probably because it was dried up for many years.  All of the rain has been awesome for the San Diego hikes.  They are like new hikes!  Kitchen Creek Falls is off of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) and you have to know about the secret trail or you will miss it!      We started out on Old Highway 80 near Boulder Oaks Campground. We have been hiking sections of the PCT for

Three Sisters Waterfall Hike

For my 12th birthday, mommy decided to celebrate my health with doing something challenging.  I am limited on my diet now so birthday cake was out of the question anyhow so why not do something active instead of celebrating with food?  (although she did give me a lot of Tigertail treats on the hike!)       I want to preface this post by saying that this hike is NOT for the beginner hiker nor is it a great hike for dogs.  You will see why…… The hike starts off on Boulder Creek Road near Julian.  It is a 7

Fisherman's Camp Hike

Mommy, daddy and I started our road trip on a super fun hike in the San Mateo Canyon Wilderness.   Mommy and I drove the RV to Clinton Keith Road and parked it there and daddy picked us up in his truck.  It was a good thing because the road going to the trailhead would not have been very fun in the RV.  It was very narrow and a little rutted.  We drove down Tenaja  road and parked at the trailhead for Fisherman’s camp. They headed up Kwaay Paay and enjoyed the beautiful views on the crisp morning!      Mommy, daddy and I headed north toward Pasadena and hiked a new trail called Chantry Flats to Hoegees Camp.    Mommy found the hike on the internet and when the man said that it gets crowded, he was not kidding!  We arrived

Annie’s Canyon Hike

Annie's Canyon Hike

Wow!!  We are so excited to start our Leash Your Fitness Urban Hike Series.  Me and mommy have been scouting a lot of new trails for our hikers and we are finding some real gems. Annie’s Canyon is one of them.  Who would ever think that this treasure is so close to the beach!  We went to scout it out with our friends and my girlfriend, Gidget.  I think she was happy to be hiking with me again.     We realized then that only small dogs can fit through the canyon as it is very narrow.     This
