5th annual holiday party

5th annual holiday party

The Leash Your Fitness 5th annual holiday party was so much fun! The holiday party gives us a chance to let our hair down, get dressed in clothes without any writing on them and wear our boots and fancy shoes!     It seems that everyone had a good time, drinking wine……..   Opening gifts……     And getting chair massages from Kris Nash, Therapie Day Spa………     Thanks to EVERYONE for the donation to the Arthritis Foundation in honor of my mom, Norma Celapino who passed away 2 years ago.  This means so very much to me!   Another […]

Move It Monday: Hamstrings

Move It Monday: Hamstrings

Time to work your hamstrings.  Many people use the fronts of their legs, their quadriceps for most things. This will cause muscle imbalances and the next thing that you know you will have knee pain.  Time to balance things out! It has been cold and rainy so this is a great exercise that you can do in your living room while stretching out.  All you need is a table or chair. Lay next to the table, chair or if you are out on a walk a bench works great! Put your feet up on the solid surface. Lift your butt […]

East County 5k

Another fun 5k was had by all! This one was in East County and it sure was pretty!!  Our Leash Your Fitness team did the warm up and led the 5k for the Jingle Paws Walk at the Cuyamaca College Water Conservation Garden.  I have to say that this one was of our prettier and more interesting 5k’s and great for the walkers as they really got to enjoy all of the beautiful plant life PLUS we got to sit next to Santa Clause! The walk benefited the El Cajon Animal Shelter and it raised nearly $5,000!!       Like […]

The Dogs Were Rescued (and So Was I) by Teresa Rhyne I really enjoyed reading Teresa Rhyne’s The Dogs Were Rescued (and So Was I).   The author, a cancer survivor, herself, quickly draws the reader into her experiences and misadventures, both with her own battles with cancer, and that of her dog, Seamus (and others to come). Seamus’ tale, began in her previous book The Dog Lived (and so Did I), (which I was not aware of, previously, and am dying to read!) is continued here, and the author also embarks on a new journey, with a new pair […]
