AF Walk

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

Well, us dogs showed the 2 leggers how to raise money! Out of the top 3 fund raisers in all of San Diego–2 of them were DOGS–and they were both on our Leash Your Fitness with Kima team.  Kima raised $1940. and Richochet raised $2855.00!  Since she raised over $2500.–she got a match from a company so that brought it up to $5430 Those girls ROCK!!  Our total team raised….are you ready……$10,515!!  Mommy was so proud of her team–the girls did such a great job!  For being the top fund raiser–Richochet’s mom won a massage from Network for Health and a new LYF water bottle and Tina for coming in second from our training classes–won 3 LYF classes–  they deserved it, those gals worked hard!!  The walk was fun and the best part was it was Friday’s 6th birthday so us dogs got to eat BIRTHDAY CAKE from Paw Pleasers!!  It was yummy!!  We hope that you can join us next year!  Until then, enjoy the pics…….

Last AF Training Class

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

Today was our last Leash Your Fitness Arthritis Foundation Training Class. Mommy picked a great place to have it–right by the water in Coronado! Of course, I wasn’t allowed to go swimming but we had fun anyhow! Everyone on the team was there but Paula because she is on vacation. Collen from Pawtopia was there to help us with our manners during the crowded walk we are about to attend on June 5th. Even though you did not do our training–you can still join our team and walk with us on that day!

We would LOVE to have you!!

Arthritis Foundation Training at Kate Sessions

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

Today was another action packed Leash Your Fitness Arthritis Foundation training class. We had class at Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach and mommy took advantage of all of the hills. She had the gals doing hill repeats with abdominal exercises in between. They were working hard! The girls are getting a lot stronger and having a good time doing it! I must say–they look like they are shrinking too–losing lots of weight! The dogs were crazy–mommy slid down the hill trying to run with me and Ginger and Mango pulled Miss Hollis down when she got excited. It was crazy! After class–the team went to the Humane Society Walk For Animals event and cruised the booths. I LOVED IT because I got lots of treats and a new fancy harness.

First Arthritis Foundation Training–Point Loma

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Today we had 6 incredible women show up for our first Arthritis Foundation FREE training program.  Leash Your Fitness is a proud sponsor of the June 5th “Let’s Move Together” walk and we are making our team stronger by providing training for them and their dog.  Colleen from Pawtopia dog training was there to assist with the dogs obedience and it was amazing how far they came in just one hour!  We did leg and arm strength, a little heart rate training and a little core work.  Each week the trainings will be in a new location!  We hope to see you at one of them!  ALL proceeds go directly to the Arthritis Foundation.

Holiday Weekend with the Dogs!

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Well, we sure did have a full weekend.  Mommy was dog sitting 3 other dogs and it was a little crazy at times but by the end of the weekend–they are listening to her much better than at the beginning of the weekend so she is much calmer! :) We had a “photo shoot” with a famous boxer named Kima on Saturday morning at La Jolla Shores.  Mommy is going to work with Kima’s mommy on a training program for the Arthritis Foundation walk.  Kima had some pretty dresses but I sure am happy that I am a boy and mommy doesn’t dress me up!  Sunday, Leash Your Fitness had a class on the move in Penasquitos and after class we got to eat cake because it was Gingers birthday!  Us dogs were sooooo happy!!  We love cake!  Linda from My Paws Gifts came and we had a drawing for one of her really cool gift baskets.  The new lady, Kathleen, won it! Beginners luck, I guess!  After the party we had to suffer at Starbucks while all of our mommy’s hung out and talked about us!  It has been a tiring weekend! Time to vege out on the couch!

Enjoy the photos!
