Motivation Monday: Water

Motivation Monday: Water

Wow!! It was a HOT weekend in San Diego.  How about where you live?  This week, I would like to remind everyone to drink plenty of WATER!!  Drinking water does more than quench your thirst,  your body is over 60% water and many of your body functions rely on water.  A good rule of thumb is to drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water so if you weigh 130 lbs, shoot for 65 ounces of water a day.  If you are working out and sweating or drinking alcohol, you will have to increase that amount. Motivation Monday: Breath

Motivation Monday: Breath

How do you breath?  Have you ever thought about it?  Some people hold their breath which is not good for many reasons.  Others mouth breath.  Others shallow breath and few belly breath.  Do this simple exercise. Put one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly.  Now, take a DEEP breath in.  Which hand moved the most?  If you said the hand that was on your chest then you are a chest breather.  If you said the hand that was on your belly then you are a belly breather.  What is the difference?  According to my friend, Wikipedia…. […]
