Hungry Mother State Park

Hungry Mother State Park

I have now added 3 new states to my travel resume. Tennessee, Mississippi and Virginia! The drive from Douglas Dam to Hungry Mother State Park was the easiest so far! We didn’t want a long drive since we enjoyed the morning SUPing at Douglas Dam with our new friends plus we had to stop and get food! It has been 2 weeks since we left and this is our first stop for food! Mommy stocked us up good before we left!   We arrived in Marion, VA.  around 5:30 p.m.  We have now traveled 2,536 miles in 2 weeks. It […]

It is always sad to leave a beautiful campsite especially one that has dock diving but our camp ground angels have teamed up with our weather angels and they just keep giving us both, great sites and great weather! We are so thankful! Wait till you see what is next!   We left Lake Catherine and headed to my Aunt Nancy’s house in Memphis. Saving a Dog or Seven

We love meeting people on our journey and one particular one has stood out. Shelley Mules from Whitewater, WI has been traveling with 3 dogs since December. They left Wisconson on December 1, 2014. Her trip started with a few mechanicals in her 1990 Allegro 37′ RV. Pulling a 20′ trailer with a SUV on it. Because of her first mechanical she had to be towed back to Illinois until her rig was fixed. However, she traveled for 2 ½ months without a water heater until she got to Texas and a friend helped her get one.  She relied on […]

Ragnar Trail Zion

Ragnar Trail Zion

Our Leash Your Fitness Trail Dogs are at it again!  On April 24th and 25th the Trail Dogs took on Ragnar Trail Zion!  The team trained for months in heat, dark, rain, at elevation, and even using another race (Sycamore Canyon 100k relay) to prepare for the tough relay race.  This race started at at 6,500 feet elevation and was known for some unpredictable weather – last year’s race was called off due to snow!  But our Trail Dogs were prepared!           The Ragnar Trail Relay works like this: runners take turns completing three trail loops, someone from the […]
