Holiday Class

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

Our holiday class was so fun!  We played games, had contests and everyone left a winner with gift bags!  Mommy gave out lots of prizes for the people AND the dogs–thanks to our sponsors!  Some of the prizes were:  calendar and packs of cards from Puppy Paw Productions; books from Arden Moore; a facial from San Diego Advanced Skin Care; and a free swim from Cutting Edge K9 Rehab.  Please visit our links page on our website for all of their information. We also celebrated our oldest dogs birthday–Montana turned 12 and he shared his cake from The Original Paw Pleasers with his friends.

Na-MUTT-sta Doga Yoga

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Today Leash Your Fitness had some people take a break from shopping and come out to relax and do Doga Yoga with their furry friends.  We did a one mile walk then returned to The Original Paw Pleasers for some yoga.  We even had a 6 month puppy take part!  The dogs got a little restless at the end –perfect timing for some holiday treats compliments of Paw Pleasers at our post class social hour!  Paw Pleasers treats rock and they are all homemade! Thanks to Tess from the Honest Kitchen/Peticures by Tess for the food samples and discounts on her famous PETicures!  And to Loree for the disounts on everything in the store for our class participants!  We hope that you can come next time!

Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Today we went to the Gaslamp for the holiday pet parade! They blocked off the street for the parade and everyone was very festive.  There were so many cool costumes. Mommy made me wear my antlers and bells so I made her give me treats in return. That seemed like a fair deal!

Jingle Bells Arthritis Walk

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

Today we beat the rain and had a wonderful time at the Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell walk in Balboa Park.   Mommy and I did the warm up for the 1,000 walkers that showed up.  The fastest guy ran the 5k in 15 minutes!  He was really fast!  There were a lot of festive costumes and Santa was everywhere! Leash Your Fitness was a big hit there because a lot of folks brought their furry friends on the walk!

Jingle Paws Walk and Adoption Event

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Today we went to the 1st annual Jingle Paws event in El Cajon.  I have to say–my favorite part was the bobbing for hot dogs!  But others seem to like shopping, walking, taking mommy’s Leash Your Fitness class, sitting on Santa’s lap and I even saw a few lucky dogs get new homes! Mommy did the warm up for the walk and it was needed because it was cold today!  It was really fun though and I hope that they do it again next year!  Connie from Camp Bow Wow sure is an amazing lady!  If you ever need a place to stay–you should try their place in El Cajon because they are really nice and they have a cool place!
