Camping with the Dogs!

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

We had a very ‘dirty’ time camping!  I LOVED it because I love getting dirty.  I was so dirty that mommy had to give me 2 baths when I got home!  That is the part that I didn’t like! :(   But I got to play with a bunch of new friends (16 of them!) I couldn’t believe out of all of those dogs that I was the only one who kept getting in trouble for barking!  We hiked, and I tried to swim but it was kind of thick (see photos!) and we got to eat a lot of treats and bones.  The humans played a game called dog trivia and Keri won! And she even got a prize.  Debbie and Jen came in 2nd and 3rd and they got prizes too!  Everyone said that Dave did a great job cooking and everyone left with their tummy’s full!   The best part was that we didn’t see any snakes or mean spiders and we got to run around and play a lot and everyone had a great time!

Hope you enjoy the photos…………

Surf-A- Thon

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Today we got to go to the Helen Woodward Surf-a-Thon!  I didn’t get to surf but I had a lot of fun playing in the water and digging in the sand!  There were some professional dog surfers out there!  I think Dozer won –he surfed in really far!! But all the dogs were out there giving it their all for all of the spectators there watching!

Fiesta Island Clean Up

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Today, mommy and I went to help the nice people of F.I.D.O.  (Fiesta Island Dog Owners) clean up Fiesta Island.  It was fun–mommy picked up poop and I got to chase the ball and swim!  I think that I got the better 1/2 of the deal.  A lot of people showed up and they gave away stuff!  Two people won gift certificates to come to our “Leash Your Fitness” classes.  They were very excited!  If you want to help keep Fiesta Island a fun place for us to play and swim –please show your support by joining FIDO, we don’t want it to be taken away!! (and PLEASE clean up after your dog)

Yappy Hour

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

There is a new place in town called Hotel Indigo and mommy took me there last night for “Yappy Hour”.  It was so cool–like a dog park on the 9th floor of this cool new hotel on 9th street.  Us dogs got to run around and swim in the little pool and get lots of treats while the humans chatted about stuff and drank alcohol.  It is every Tuesday night so we are planning on going back next week!  We hope to see you there!
